When Deciding Who To Train With!

This is such an amazingly rewarding career to have and I congratulate you on making the first steps to find out more about it. 

When shopping around for training it can be a huge minefield - I Know, I was there too when I trained! 

The amount of sub par training popping up over the last few years as permanent makeup continues to grow exponentially is frightening and you don’t want to waste your savings by ending up with zero confidence, knowledge or practice right? 

I understand you! I went through the exact same process and experienced my own lot of bad training. I have since spent in excess of £40,000 on training with some of the best in the industry nationally and internationally. That coupled with my own 10,000+ hours of experience has landed me where I am today. 

My Background

Since I was 18 I knew I wanted to work in the beauty industry, and primarily enjoy working on and with people. I very quickly learnt everything there was to learn with regard to beauty treatments, and worked in really prestigious spa’s and hotels in central London. 

It was at this point and with a thirst to learn more that I attended my first permanent make up group training course, wow that was when I was in my 20’s. I completely loved it and started doing my own clients. 

Fast forward a few years and being on maternity leave for my second child I decided to gain my qualification to become a trainer and jump head first into the aesthetics world. I teamed up training for several different companies for aesthetics manufacturers and lasers to train a range of people from Doctors, consultants and specialists on Harley Street, hospitals and clinic’s through out the UK, Ireland and Spain. 

I even worked with Plastic Surgeons at Headley Court Rehabilitation Centre for injured soldiers. 

I have been invited to appear on live ITV television, in documentaries and on radio as a laser specialist. All the while continuing with my permanent makeup clients. I was constantly being asked to do other trainings too from Anatomy and Physiology, Massage, Nail treatments to name a few. 

Then in my late 30’s my clinic Sure Aesthetics was born. Being able to offer clients permanent make up and anti ageing treatments worked really well. The complete package. Tailor making what each individual needs and seeing them feel confident and happy is so fulfilling. 

I have developed the business into a Multi Award winning Clinic. In 2018 I won Best Aesthetics Clinic in the South 2018 award and the coveted National award for Best Aesthetics Clinic also in a glittering award ceremony. 

In 2019 my award winning continued with an Influential Business Woman Award winning the Most Renowned Aesthetician. The last three years I have also won Lux Life Health Beauty and Wellness awards for Best Anti-ageing Aesthetics Clinic 2020, Best Aesthetics Clinic, South East 2021, and Most Innovative Aesthetics Clinic 2022.

Opening up and running my successful clinic has been the best decision of my life. It has given me flexibility when I have needed it with my family plus giving me a good income. 

My ethos for the clinic has always been work with the best of everything, that means clinically proven equipment, products that are researched by specialised dermatologists, and  industry specialists alike, so as I invest in premium products and equipment I know what can be achieved for students and clients and can pass down these huge benefits. If it does not meet my high exceptions it does not come in!!

So running my training school alongside a working clinic seemed the most natural thing to do. Giving people the skills to change their lives is a privilege and hugely empowering. Showing students what a difference an amazing set of eyebrows can make to clients who spend time every morning pencilling them in, afraid that they might come off during the day, is hugely rewarding. That is only a snippet of what permanent makeup can mean to people.

I have spent thousands on my own training in PMU. My first training experience was in a group setting, and if I had questions or needed something repeated or explained in a different way there just was not time. They assumed all leaners are the same…..news flash….we are all very different. The problems or misunderstanding I had went on to bug me for years…so I spent out again and spent a week perfecting everything I knew. Learning different techniques.

I made the decision to keep training, keep investing in myself, my skill, my knowledge and my tools, to become the best, offer the best of the best service & charge, what I felt I truly deserved. I realised people were happy to pay more for the level of education I was putting myself through.

The Result: As my reputation grew, clients started travelling from everywhere to have their permanent makeup done. Even flying in from Andorra!

What makes training with me different from other training academies?

The aim of my training is for you to go away feeling confident and able to start treating clients straight away. You will be trained on a one-to-one basis and everything will be tailored especially to you. I have put together everything good from all my previous own experiences so that you can hit the ground running and you will be the best in your area giving the best results and you will feel really confident.

You won't have to buy your own expensive branded machines and supplies like a lot of academies do as I am not affiliated with any specific permanent makeup supplier so I do not tie you into buying any supplies that you do not need. Some academies do this and it's very expensive.
